I wish that someone had told me before 3 IVFs with ICSI and assisted hatching that IVF lowers your body's ability to fight infection. If I had been tested for immune issues BEFORE my IVFs, I could have gotten antibiotic treatment and may not have needed IVF at all. The IVFs compounded my immune problems and allowed bacteria to grow unchecked. Grrr!
