Hi- I am a new member to the site but have so many questions- I had WLS in June of 2005 afer trying to get pregnant for 1 year without intervention- Now almost 2 years after the surgery I am down to 145- from 285- and am still not able to get pregnant- my problem seems to be that my follicles are not growing and I am not ovulating- I am on day 28 after taking FSH and FH with very little growth - I am just assuming I will get the call that this will be a failed cycle- Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? My Dr is stumped because after all these days there should have been a response- Thanks for any insight
Dear Deek,
I'm sorry no one responded to you till now.
Maybe your situation is more unique and you asked if anyone can relate.
First of all, welcome to FT.
I've been logging on for a while, and I have found it enormously helpful to read the posts from others.
Congratulations on your weight loss.
that's pretty amazing!
I'm in awe that you did so well!
I was confused about your post. Did you do IVF?
I don't have much info to give you other than to suggest you visit other doctors for a second opinion.
Believe me, I know from experience, that each doctor has their areas of specialty and knowledge, and what evades one, can be clear to another.
My first doctor helped me conceive my first child, but when I began miscarrying, she missed a blood clotting disorder that a second doctor was able to diagnose within a week of my walking in.
I sincerely hope you find your answers.
hope to see you here soon again.

I has WLS in 2002 and I still can't get pregnant. we've been ttc #1 for almost 13 years. I started at 250 and am now about 165 (I'm 5'8.5") MY follicles grow with clomid, and I ovulate with triggers, but still no bfp. Best of luck to you and I'm here if you want to talk or want more info.
