Hello*!!! Well my day started off pretty normal..woke up.(good start), made lunch for Ken and I (on afternoons..so we are up late). Shortly after Ken left I started wrapping his gifts when I relaized that I didn't have tissue paper...so I got online (avoiding shopping) while nicelt chatting my GYN called with results back from my blood work up from last week. They wanted me into an internist ASAP meaning tomorrow or TUES. I called and they are closed both days, but could get me in today. I set the appt. Called back my GYN and they said even better yet...my TSH levels are dangerously high and they want me to get on meds asap (been off synthroid waiting for a DR to give me more for 6 weeks). So I went and saw the DR...he asked why I was having all the other work done I said because of recurrent m/c's and he said okay makes sense (didn't go over that stuff but the nurse said everything else looked good, but the DR would go over it at my next appt). Finally my TSH report..it came in at 78 not good at allllll...normal range is in the 0-4 area and I am way over that and then some. So I am starting my 100mg of synthroid tonight and in 4-6 weeks go back for a medical check-up and blood work and med adjustment. I will then see him every 4-6 weeks until I am in the normal range. So I am really thinking that TTC is kind of crazy right now with my thryoid basically not functioning at best, but we are in a cycle right now..and will not prevent for the next several that it might take, but this could be the answers I was looking for. I don't think that this could be the reasons for my losses, but I will ask my DR and do some research on the internet about thyroid. (BTW I have known that I have HPYOthyroidism for years, just after I left my EX I didn't have medical and didn't have access to free samples all the time)...so that is what I know...I hope it gets going soon and that this cycle works out and the thyroid issues won't effect tooooo much, bit honestly who am I kidding.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know the thyroid can cause alot of issues! I work with Endocrinologist Every day. If there is any questions you have that I maybe able to talk with my doc's about I would be glad to. Let me know. I am hear for you. But it does explain not losing any weight.

Hello*!!! yes actually maybe you can help. I forgot to ask the DR yesterday...what does it mean with TTC and this high of a number??? is there an increase chance of m/c??? is it recommended to wait until it is normal range??? (I am sure the answer is yes), but I just was wondering what the DR's really say about it???

Ok so I talked to one of my doctors. He said your Level is very high and there is almost no chance of getting pregnant while that high. If you do there is a major chance of M/S he said before TTC you need to get those # under control. And he suggest that you get in to and Endocrinologist ASAP! I wished we lived in the same Area I could get you in like Monday ha..ha My doctors owe me favors. ha..ha
I am glad to get what ever info I can for you. He said normal he would tell patients that it is better to get the level under control before TTC! But when I told him I was asking about a friend of mine he said " tell her that before she TTC get them under control or it will just cause pain a grieve for you and your hubby" He doesn't want to see anyone go through the pain of M/C.

Queen, sorry to hear about your thyroid. Hopefully you can get the numbers under control and will be pregnant in no time. I bet you will lose weight fast since your numbers where so high.

Hello*!!! Thank you both so much*!!! I am also wondering if I shold wait to get my HSG done til we are ready to start TTC again because I hear it helps "clean" things out. Hmmmm I will talk to ken about that tonight. I figure that this could be a major part of our TTC struggle (I know not as long as most people..but still a struggle when you know the timing is perfect and everything else). So I wait to see what this cycle brings...in so many ways I know this sounds horrible, but hopefully not pg..but if I am I hope it is a fighter.

BTW I will not be around tooo much at all over the next 2 weeks...Ken is on Christmas shut down next week and laid off the following week...I will come on if I have anything new to update and plan on weighing in on TUES.

Queen I would wait till your numbers are undercontrol. My RE told me that alot of women get pregnant right after HSG (if no tubal damage) because it cleans out the system and makes it easier for the little guys to get up there. ha..ha

Christmas here was wonderful. Today I went in for my cycle day 10 u/s and I have 13 follicles. We are hoping to do an IUI on 12/31.

I am eating enough junk right now. I can't believe it. We are actually quite lucky the hospital he is in actually has some really good food. Dad got Prime Rib Yesterday for his dinner. Pretty nice for him. ha..ha

How is it going? Did they give you a day yet when your father will come home?

My cycle is still on schedule. I go in tomorrow for another u/s and b/w then they will tell me when I will go in for the IUI. I believe it will be on Sunday. New Years Eve. I am so excited. This is my second IUI with injectibles.

Hello*!!! well ladies as for my cycle here it looks like af might be trying to come on. I am cramping now...cd=25...11dpo...hopefully she holds out so my LP isn't all messed up. I didn't have too much hope about this cycle after my phone call, but still I held onto a little shred.

Hey Girls!

As of right now we still aren't sure when Dad will be home. They are wanting to watch him close. So we wait. I haven't been allowed up there Cause I ended up with the FLU. Yeah for me. ha..ha I am now on my 2ww. Crossing my fingers. My Family could really use starting off the New Year with Happy News. The Last two Years haven't been great for us.
Now I have the FLU
My Neice and Sister-In-Law have Phemonia (also Double ear infections)
My Nephew has the FLU
My Brother Has the FLU
the only ones that aren't sick is mom sister and hubby.

Dawn I am keeping my fingers Cross for you. Just make sure you let me know when your IUI is ok. So I can say a prayer for you. have my fingers crossed for you.

Deb, Sorry to hear they have not let your Dad come home yet. Just know that it is close and I will continue to pray that he comes home soon. Sorry to hear you have the flu. Queen, hoping and praying that you tsh levels are going down. I think you said you started to lose some weight so that is a great sign that the levels are going down.

Ok, my IUI is now schedule for New Years eve. I am so excited. I have 10 follicles which they believe 7 will be viable. Since this is our last IUI for a couple of months I pray we get a BFP. My insurance does not cover infertility services so we have been paying out of pocket. Urghhh.

Thanks for the prayers about my dad. They said they just want to hold on to him until he is 100% better. They don't want to let him go home and end up back there again. He has enough going against him with the brain injury. Plus we would rather be safe then sorry. Thanks though
