I am waiting to begin my next cycle and have been advised by my RE to lose some weight before the ER. I have about 5 weeks so I just joined Jenny Caig. Has anyone else had success there?

Welcome to FT!!! :D I did JC back in 2002 and lost 47 pounds!...I think the program is excellent...not only is the food fabulous...The program is very healthy...and it teaches structured eating. You eat the proper amount of fruits and veggies and dairy...but you also get a couple of yummies each and every day. For example...French toast sticks with blueberries...blueberry muffin for breakfast...Snack of one of their peanut butter bars...Sooooo good! Desserts like double fudge cake and cheesecake. I did re-gain the 47 pounds and within the last two have lost 89 on my own..but I feel I STILL use the fundamentals that I learned at JC. I would not hestitate to go back should my current boot camp program I have designed for myself fails. I think I will be going back to JC. Love it!

The food on Jenny is good. I didn't like the potatoe soup and a couple of other things but overall the food is excellent. The cost is approximately $100.00 per week. I'm curious how much weight did your RE recommend you loose. I'm trying to loose weight myself. I've lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks and joined a group that weighs in weekly. I need to loose another 50 lbs to be at normal weight for my height and frame.
Wishing you the best on Jenny.

Goldie--I agree the food is yummy. I am actually a second timer at JC just under the gun to loose some weight before ER. The first time around I lost 85lbs and yes it crept back on me also, so that is my ultimate goal 85lb loss. I guess if you become pregnant JC will put you on hold, can only hope that will be my problem. ;)
AZKris--RE did not recommend any weight loss but I have a BMI of 39. I was told that 40 is the cut-off and if I am at 40 on the ER day my cycle will be cancelled, so I decided somewhere between 10-15lbs. before ER would be safe and may even bring my BMI to 38. The first week I lost 4.4lbs and now hope for 1-2lbs. a week until ER. Congrats on your 5lb wt loss. It is sooooo hard but we can do it:D

I'm on Nutrisystems which is very much like JC, only a bit cheaper. So far I've lost 21 pounds in roughly 3.5 weeks and I am NEVER hungry nor do I feel the urge to eat fast food and fatty food.

I am entering my 4th week on JC and so far 8.5lbs. I am trying for at least 15lbs before ER which will probably be the week of the 17th so only 6.5lbs to go--that is the mini goal. Hope everyone is moving along in their success ;)
