I have a question... I'm suppose to start my Prometrium tomorrow morning, the doctor has me taking it morning and night 200mg vaginally. Well i had my HCG injection on Monday and they said that it is to be taken after OV, so she tells me to take it on wed. How will I know if I OV for sure. A girl at work started promtetrium 4 days after the trigger shot.I'm so confused! Should I wait or just do what the Doctor says?

Wow I've never heard of taking Prometrium vaginally. I was prescribed 400mg to take for 10 days (oral). They dont actually make them in 400 so the farmacy told me to take 2 200mg to make up 400mg. I called the gyno and asked what time of the day I should take and she said it doesnt matter. After doing research on the meds, I decided to take it right before I go to bed because it has some bad side effects I didnt feel like dealing with. I dont know when/if Im suppose to get my period but ever since I started taking them, I have had cramps every single day...annoying & painful. Anyway I think you should listen to your doc.

I took it vaginally and I would start when your Dr. said. I have noticed that a lot of my Dr.'s oders have been contrary to what the prescription bottle recommends but I trust that my RE knows what he is doing.
