Ok I have bitten the bullet and decided to try Nutrisystem to help me. I decided to try to lose the next 60 pounds on NS and then slowly transition to eating daily food for the next 40 pounds. Has anyone tried NS and had success?

Hi,
I did Nutrisystem and it was pretty good. I lost about 10 pounds but then I started injectibles and I gained some back. I also got bored and wasn't sticking to it too well. It costs about $275 per month which is less that Jenny Craig. I did it on-line so I never had to meet with a counselor which suited me just fine. Go to the website and you can read the bulletin board from people who are doing it. You can learn a lot there.
If you decide to do it definitely order from thier website so you can pick and choose the meals you want. Don't order through QVC because they pick out the meals for you and you will get stuck with foods that you don't want.
I stopped nutrisystem because I found out there was soy in most of their meals and soy is a bit controversial now because some people say it can interfere with estrogen and IF.
Good luck!

Well I got my food in yesterday and started on it today. For breakfast I had a banana spice muffin which was quite tasty. I noticed that a lot of their foods have soy in them but when I asked my doc, obgyn, and RE about it, they all agreed that it should be fine. The cost isn't so bad when I tallied up how much DH and I spent each month on Sushi and eating out in general. Besides if I see some results from this then DH might follow suit and lose a little as well. I'll keep you all posted on my progress. I figure I'll try it for the 5 weeks and see what happens.

I wish you all the best and hope it goes good for you. I may even try it again.
When you think about the benefits of weight loss, the money doesn't seem that much...God Bless You

Well I had my first real challenge tonight, and on my second day no less. DH wanted Popeyes (Bleck) which is right next to Taco Bell (Yummy!). I went and picked up his Popeyes and just then drove right off without even going to Taco Bell, nor did I munch any of the extra biscuits he got. I'm really proud of myself. Maybe I can do this afterall. I mean if I didn't give in on the 2nd day it can only get easier right......right......please tell me it gets easier lol.

Ok I have to say I LOVE NUTRISYSTEMS!!!!!!
As of today I am down 17.5 lbs (yes I know a lot of it was water) and I have lost several inches. This week I only lost 2 lbs but hey the scale is talking and it's speaking my language. I'm soooo glad I took the plunge and joined NS.

As of today I've lost 32 pounds in a little over 2 months. I love the program! it is sooo easy to follow. I've also starting working out at the gym and that has helped a lot. My board name on the NS support boards is fluffy2fit. Pop in and say hi and introduce yourself over there. Lots of great people with lots of great advice!
