Hi - I am 32, 5'4" and at my heaviest EVER in my life. I have always been chunky, but now I am just downright big; in addition wanting to be healthier and look better/feel better, I am worried about conceiving (we are undiagnosed), and should we be lucky enough to get pg, carrying a baby with all of this extra weight. I would like to lose between 80-100 lbs, but for now, I am just focusing 5 lbs at a time - too overwhelming to look at the big picture. In the past 2 years, I have gained close to 70 lbs; I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid in Dec 2005 when they did the first IF blood panel; got my thyroid back where it should be, but the weight won't come off, not that I really tried. I quit smoking in Jan 2006, and gained 12 lbs, and then gained btwn 7-10 lbs during each of my clomid cycles - I just can't win! Anyway, I have my first IVF planned for October, so I would really like to lose some weight and establish healthier eating habits before then, when hopefully I will get a BFP.
I woke up Sunday, and was just like, enough is enough - that's it. I did ww before and lost on it - tried Souh Beach (couldn't make it through Phase 1), a nutrition program (too much calorie counting), so I am back to ww after not really trying anything in the past 9 months.
I am determined to do this - hopig to find some friends/encouragement along the way!
Thanks -
Kelly
