Ok so a little about me... my husband and i have been trying to concieve for about 8 years now... we lost twins in 02.

I reciently took clomid at 50mg for two months and didn't ovulate. Husband and I took a break, marriage was suffering big time and we seperated. :(

Anyway seven months later we are back on track... more in love than we have ever been and trying to concieve again... :smileyh:

So here's the deal... i took provera last month to start my cycle and then took clomid 100mg this time on day's 3-7 of my cycle and had my bloodwork done on cd21 and it was 17.4... YAY!! we ovulated!!!! *does major happy dance* me and steve were so proud!!
Then my boobs started hurting and i was like... am i preggo?.. and i started my period this month.... four days ago.. ALL BY MYSELF!!!! is this good????

I was just wondering if me starting my period all by myself is a good sign??
My dr put me back on the clomid 100mg days 3-7 again to see if we get preggo...

So are we doing good you think??
and what if my period doesnt last for seven days??

i know i'm a worrier... help!!!!

You are DEFINITELY making progress! I haven't taken clomid but I have done alternate therapy treatments and finally O'd on my own two months ago! Last month I got all depressed thinking I wouldn't O on my own after I passed the O day from the previous month. However, I ended up Oing again on my own but not until CD33.

Either way...2 months in a row of ovulating! I am SUPER excited for you b/c I know how good it feels! Getting AF on your own is GREAT news! How long was your luteal phase?

But i have a question... i didn't have it for seven days.. i only had it for five so the last two days i took the clomid this time i wasn't on my period or i didn't have any bloody show... IS THIS BAD???
DOES THIS MEAN I WONT O?
OR I WONT GET PREGNANT?
OR THE CLOMID WONT DO WHAT ITS SUPPOST TO??

I have no idea about the clomid...I've never taken it.

Your luteal phase is the time b/w ovulation and when you get your period.

Didn't your doc tell you to get ovulation tests? They are like the "pee on a stick" HPTs but you start taking them around O time to see when you ovulate. For me (not sure if this is for everyone), my doc had me start testing on day 10 or 11(with first day of AF being day 1) and do it every day until it came up +. We were to have sex every other day around ovulation time, if I remember correctly. I found out that I ovulate on day 15, so we could time sex 2 days before O.

Of course, in my case, I ended up having blocked tubes, so all my work and ovulation was for naught. :D

I would say it looks good for you and I'd definitely talk to the doc about testing to make sure you are ovulating and when.

Oh and I wouldn't worry about the shortened AF. The important thing is that you are ovulating, not how long or how much of a period you have.
