Advil/ibuprofen can interfere with ovulation!

I read this recently in Randine Lewis' book "the infertility cure" and I just thought I would share. SO don't take advil around O!

That's good to know. Would Tylenol be okay for headaches, then?

i'm not sure if the issue is O or lining. ibuprofen is a no-no. i believe tylenol is okay for headaches and cramps any time during your cycle.

I think tylenol is okay...haven't heard anything to the contrary on it.

My RE specifically says Tylenol is okay.

I thought since I created this post I better look up my reference and be more specific.

From The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis:
"Even non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen can block the synthesis of prostaglandins and therefore inhibit ovulation"

I used to think Advil was the "miracle cure" for headaches, etc. I have cut it out completely b/c I have problems with ovulation. I figure why take the risk. Who knows maybe it even contributed to my problem.

The book recommends not taking ibuprofen for any pain around ovulation.
