Did you ever feel like your doctor told you to lose weight in response to your infertility just because they do not want to be bothered? Sometimes I feel like my first doctor told me that just so he could move on to his next patient as soon as possible. I have a doctor now that looked beyond my extra 35 lbs and found blocked tubes. I wasted a year with my first doctor because he wouldn't look past my weight.

Hi Heather

So glad you found the new doc. Sorry to say it dose happen. One thing I do say if they blame the weight before any testing is done. find a new doc.
Good luck with the new doc

I had a doctor that was like that. The minute I got married and inquired knowing with a period only coming when it wants (3 to 4 times a year) I would have issues and his response is well you have to lose weight that's the problem. Even when I said it has always been like this since the beginning when I was 12 and not overweight he didn't want to hear it and basically dismissed me. When me and DH wanted to start getting serious I switched to another doctor who said if it was the weight then I would of only started to having problems when I became overweight. It obviously has been my entire life when a weight issue hasn't. I became pregnant 3 months later with the help of clomid thanks to him and I'm convinced if I would of stayed with the other doctor I would still be trying.

Good luck!!!!!!
