Trip to acupuncturist did NOT go well!

I think that it was because she was running really behind, she had 3 people in the lobby and me, and I waited for 45 min to see her, but she made me feel really rushed then up and basically asked me to think about wether or not I really wanted to do this, WHAT I've been TTC for 2 yrs I'm going to do whatever it takes, becuase it will require 2 treatments a week and herbal meds. So go home talk to your hubby and let me know, and she up and walked out! After I waited for 45 min to talk to her, she spoke to me for about 10 min, didnt even know what PCOS was, asked if I've ever had an abortion, which is fine I'll answer that question if she needs to know, no I havent, but that's the 1ST thing she asked after looking at my paper work. I was like Um, No. I dont know when I left I had so many emotions, I was upset, mad, sad, I felt not wanted and discarded...I probably read way too much into this, but gosh I was just expecting so much more than I got, it was a real let down. So now I'll be looking for some one else. UGHH!
Anyway had to vent!

Well if she's gonna be like that it's a good thing you're finding someone else. With all the stress that IF brings your acupuncturist should be the last source for stress! How odd. I was thinking about going to try acupuncture. Let me know if you find someone you can work with and let me know how it goes. Hang in there!

be sure and write to her and let her know why you are not coming back so that she understands that it was HER that lost the business and not your lack of committment to the treatments. good luck

Hi Melissa,

I'm sorry to hear how awful your appointment was. Do you know if she specialized in fertility and women's issues? I've been seeing a wonderful accupuncturist for about 4 months now. I had to see her 2x a week to start for about a month, but now only once a week. I love her and the treatments. You can't tell right away, but you do find yourself much more relaxed. And she spends the time to chat with me about what's going on in my life.

Keep looking until you find the perfect one! It will be worth it.

By the way, no BFP for me yet. However, she has told me that every one of her IVF patients that has gotten pregnant was on their first attempt. Sounds promising!

Good luck,
Amy
