I think R.A.B. has to be Regulus Black. I know Sirius says that his brother was weak and all that, but I have to wonder how much of that wasn't his rebellion against his family in general. Doesn't Slughorn say that Regulus was very bright and he wished he had both Black brothers in Slytherin with him? And, if Regulus was the one who got the horcrux and he couldn't destroy it, then he could store it at Grimmauld place. And, there were some interesting artifacts at Grimmauld place as we saw in OoP. It sure would make it easier if Harry could get at one of the horcruxes by just going to his new home! LOL! :)

If that's the case Christine, then you have to wonder if it's even still at Black's house. Remember that Kreacher has been removing and hiding stuff for ages and then there was the thief (what's his name, Mungdungas) that was stealing all that stuff from Black's house.

I'm still not sure about the R.A.B. idea but it would make it interesting.

My SIL told me to check out page 116 of OoP.....

It talks about things they found when they were cleaning, and one of them is a heavy locket that none of them could open. Gee....wonder who that belongs to?

Maybe Mungdungas was under a spell to take treasures from Grimmauld Place the locket being one of them. But who put him under this spell? Could Regulus possibly still be alive??
