I was just reading an article where JK Rowling stated in an interview that fans can expect book 7 in about 2 yrs and she will start writing at the end of this year but and this part blows me away--she already has book 7's last chapter written and locked away.
How do you start with the last chapter? LOL! I wonder how her mind works.........
Just something to think about! :)

Maybe she knows how she wants everything to end, just needs to write the rest of the last book to get there?

she has said this from the beginning. She had a story outline and the final chapter. she just has to get everybody there.

sigh, I am done with this book already. It is going to be a long wait. (and yeah, I will be there at midnight again to get my book)

I saw her on Dateline last night and she told Katie Couric that if she were hit by a bus tomorrow the books would be unfinished because NO ONE knows the plot for the 7th book and she could not stand for someone else to finish the books for her. She also mentioned about the last chapter of the series had been written long ago and locked away.

oops sorry ladies! I see this was already known info!
I've never really checked out JKR's website before--only really cared about reading the books and not so much what the author has to say i guess! :)
I can totally understand how she has an outline, knows how it's going to end--after all she's been working on this for years and years but i still don't get how you can finish a book that's not even started. :) But what do i know!
