From the last book, in say 50 words or less, someone remind me what happened to Lucious Malfoy and also the prophecy. (I figured I should have read the book but.... ) ;)

As best as I can remember, Lucius led the 'attack' on the kids at the Ministry of Magic. The dreams Harry were having were kind of planted by Voldemort and so Harry went to the Ministry thinking that Sirius was being tortured by Voldemort. He took Hermione, Ron, Neville, Luna & Ginny with him. Lucios had Bellatrix and others.

Lucios was supposed to retrieve the prophecy and kill Harry, but failed, and was captured. Bellatrix battled Sirius and Sirius went through the veil. Dumbledore showed up and captured all but Bellatrix. The prophecy was opened and 'lost', but Dumbledore had been there when it was spoken, and repeated it to Harry.

Did the book say what the prophecy said? (or am I going to find that out early in this book?

Dumbledore told the prophecy to Harry when back in his office.... it's probably worth it to go read the last few chapters of the book...

Kim, they repeat the prophecy in the first few chapters of HBP too. I got to read about 100 pages yesterday!

Pickles, I finished OoTP again yesterday and it is in the second last chapter....the whole bit.

It says:

the one with the power to vanquish the dark Lord approaches....born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the 7th month dies...and the Dark LOrd will mark him as his equal but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not...and must either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives...the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the 7th month dies.....
