I have a question and as much combined knowledge everyone here has maybe I can get an answer. I Am on clomid (12th cycle in my life) and metformin ( 5 weeks). Yesterday I went and got my progesterone level done and it was 1.4 (day 23). I know this means I did not ovulate but what does it mean? Has anyone else had it this low? Did an increase in clomid help? Longer on Met? Any and all information will be obsessed over.

I did clomid for 3 cylces and I'm now 18 weeks pregnant. The first round I did 50mg and took it on days 5 through 9 and my progesterone level was 3.75 or something like that. My Dr. bumped me up to 100 mg and I took that on days 5 though 9 and my progesterone was .9 something. Just an FYI it maybe your ovulator predictor kit. He told me to swith so I switched to clear blue and on the third try he kept me on 100mg but had me take it on days 5 through 11 and my progesterone was 16.5 and I got pregnant. Hope this helps.

maybe I will ask gyn to increase days on clomid? Will be taking 100 mg next month.

My doctor said he had wanted to try this before switching medication and said he had a lot of wonderful results switching the amount of days and it worked for me. He also said that he is starting to see papers on it. Good luck!!!!!!!!

Just to make sure i understand...you started taking the clomid on the 5 day of af? And took 100mg for 7 days.

Yes I started clomid on day 5 of AF and took it for 7 days taking my last pill on day 11. Then I started testing with ovulator kit sticks on day 13 (2 days after my last pill) and than it changed on the 7th day of testing and I had to come in for a blood test to check progesterone exactly 8 days from the day the stick changes. Thank you so much dee32. I am fixing to start my clomid on the 3rd day and take 150mg for 5 days. It didnt seem to help last time, thats why i was asking, in hopes of getting my doctor to do it like you were talking about.

This is my first round of Clomid. I have PCOS, dx fall of 1999. We tried Femara last month but my Progesterone level was 5.6, MD wants it at least 10. So now I am taking 100 mg CD 3-7. We'll see. By the way, what is the beta level I keep reading about on these boards? Is it something I should have MD check???

Good luck with your cycle this month.

Beta levels are for when Pregnancy is achieved. They measure the rate the embryo is growing.

Thanks for the info! This "Hurry up and wait thing" is killing me--I'm really anxious to see what my progesterone level does this month since starting Clomid.
