My husband and I have tried IUI 4 times using his sperm with no success. This month we decided to use DS. I got it from Cryolab which is a division of Fairfax. Our infertility is due to low motility so this is why we thought it would be time to use donor.

I wanted to see if there is anyone out there that can tell me about how many times (average) will I have to use donor until I get pregnant. I have been checked out and all my plumbing works fine. I used clomid(day 3-8) and then 2 shots gonal-F(day 12) and then hcG (novarel on day 13). I had 4 follicles of the correct size. I was inseminated the very next day and the day after. I was made aware of selection reduction before I was inseminated.

I am supposed to go on Friday for the preg test. But I am worried because I have felt the breast tenderness and the mild cramps that I usually get before I get my period.

I guess I am just really worried that now that I have everything in line I may not get pregnant because of my weight. I am 5'9" and 340lbs. Does anyone else know if there is a correlation between obesity and infertility? Does using DS with obesity help the situation? What's the average amount of times a person uses DS before success?

I dont know of any studies done with DS and obestiy. I know there was one done with donor egg and obestiy. According to that study. An obese woman has the same odds of a woman of normal weight to become pregnant. I had the article pinned but due to the changes with the server I had to unpin it.

On the plus side all your test are good. You seem to have a good amount of eggs just with clomid and a small dose of if meds.
Some women have the sysptoms of af coming only to get a postive pg test. Good Luck to you.

Obesity can cause infertility. Due to the mess up of hormones and fat. But its diffrent for every one. Weve had quite a few women on this board who've been successfull.
